Proofreading: This is the final pass of an already
edited manuscript or written work
before it heads to the publisher or printer. It is intended to catch any missed typos and inconsistencies.
Substantive: Editing text for overall clarity, pacing, unity, structure, and content.
Stylistic: Clarifying meaning, slang and clichés,
and fixing sentences for language.
